Supporting Children's Mental Health

Supporting our children’s social, emotional and mental health needs is close to our hearts, and directly links to our school ethos, values and our vision https://www.earith.cambs.sch.uk/index.php/school/ethos-vision-and-values It is embedded within our curriculum and the general day to day practices of our school. 

We have a range of strategies and services we can use in order to provide the most personalised and appropriate offer we can, but there’s always more that can be done! 

This year, we are part of the ALT Mental Health Group which is committed to providing the best possible provision it can for our school community and across the ALT.

The resources and links on this page will grow, but in the meantime, we hope it serves as a useful starting point for provision that you may find useful at home. 

If you have any concerns around your, or your child’s mental health, please contact Mr Abbs (Mental Health Champion/SENCO), or another trusted adult who you feel comfortable talking with at our school .

You can also access mental health crisis support by dialing 111 and selecting option 2.  The service is available to anyone, of any age, currently living in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough facing a mental health crisis.  Individuals may call themselves or on behalf of someone else in crisis.

A mental health website has been created for young people, parents / carers, teachers and other professionals.  It is a central point for good quality information on keeping well, self-help and support services.  The website covers a range of issues including stress, bullying, self-harm and what to do in a mental health crisis.
