Large School Donation

DSCN6020 Earith Day Centre was started by Mr & Mrs Broughton 30 years ago for the elderly and lonely residents of Earith, Colne and Bluntisham. There were usually around 25 that met up every Wednesday at the Village Hall where they had a hot meal and carried out various activities like dominoes, crafts, keep fit and bingo. Unfortunately due to the pandemic, the Day Centre closed in April 2021 as it wasn't viable to continue. Mrs Broughton still keeps in touch with everyone to make sure they are ok.

The group has donated proceeds back to the community, including a large cheque to us with the condition that we use the money to support something that the children want, and  with lasting legacy.

On behalf of the children, school staff, parents & governors, we feel extremely humbled and grateful for this money which is a substantial amount, contributory towards the purchase of an outdoor gym for the school.

Thank You, Earith Day Centre.  We feel honoured.
