We believe that cooking is a core life skill and our aim is to give everyone the opportunity to learn to cook and enjoy good food.

Cooking club is run by Mrs Rudwick, Mrs Watson and Mrs Wardell for KS2 pupils.

If your child would like to join in the sessions please contact the School office.

This was our final week for this group at Cooking Club.  We made noodle and sweetcorn soup, veggie fajitas and to finish scones, both plain and with fruit.  We will be back again after half term with a new group of children.

We made Toad in the Hole this week and the batter really rose to the occasion.  This was accompanied by a delicious ratatouille which included a home-grown courgette donated by Mrs Buttress.  To follow our batter theme we finished off with pancakes, most of which did not make it home.

This week we made an ambitious paprika chicken stew with herby dumplings.  The dumplings puffed up beautifully and were light and very tasty.  For pudding we made a very seasonal apple and blackberry crumble with homemade custard.  The custard was a little thin despite a very long time stirring!  It still tasted like custard!

Cooking Club met for the first time this school year.  We made a delicious curry – chicken Rogan Josh, easy Pilau rice and naan bread.  Some of the children had not been to the club before but they all managed very well with the preparation and washing up.  Keep an eye out for what is cooking over the next few weeks.
